Dr. Ashik K. Soni MD, MPH is a Board-Certified Internal Medicine Primary Care Physician. He was born in Chicago, IL and move to Tampa, FL at a young age. Tampa Bay has been home ever since. He completed all of his schooling here and has spent over 30 years living in this community. This has deeply shaped both who he is and how he practices medicine.

Dr. Soni attended the University of Florida, where he earned his bachelor’s degree in Economics and Health Science. His interest in understanding systems, decision-making, and long-term outcomes naturally led him toward medicine and public health. He went on to attend St. George’s University School of Medicine, where he completed a dual MD/MPH degree, with the Master of Public Health focused on healthcare policy. It was during this time that his passion for preventive medicine and population health truly took shape—understanding not just how to treat illness, but how to prevent it and empower patients to live healthier lives. He graduated cum laude, with honors.

Throughout medical school, he knew his calling was primary care. He wanted to return home and care for the very community that raised him. He completed his Internal Medicine residency at the USF Consortium / Brandon Regional Hospital, where he trained across a wide range of complex medical conditions and developed a strong foundation in comprehensive adult care.

After residency, he spent six years working in the hospital, caring for critically ill patients and managing complex, acute medical conditions. While this experience sharpened his clinical skills and decision-making under pressure, it also revealed something important to him: there is a need for better access to personalized, proactive primary care. He saw firsthand the gaps in the traditional healthcare system—and the growing need for a model that prioritizes prevention, education, and long-term relationships.

That realization led to the creation of Precision Health MD.

Precision Health MD was founded with a simple but powerful mission: to deliver thoughtful, patient-centered primary care that is precise, proactive, and personal. His goal is not just to treat disease, but to educate, support, and empower patients to take control of their health. He believes the best outcomes come from strong physician-patient relationships built on trust, communication, and continuity of care.

As someone who has lived in this community for over three decades, his commitment is deeply personal. He is dedicated to building long-lasting relationships, helping patients feel heard, supported, and confident in their healthcare decisions, and walking alongside them through every stage of life.
